This is a rant against my neighbour for making me realize I did a dumb thing.  One of our cats followed me this morning so I put Jet in a down stay under a shady tree while I ran home and chucked Blondie in the house.  Neighbour with his BIG lab was just starting out and my morning greeting consisted of only "This guy was following me."  Back to Jet, only two houses away and no more than two minutes, and here neighbour is, right beside her with his behemoth of uncontrollable Lab.  I yelled out, "she's in a down stay" which in retrospect was a stupid thing to say as I am quite sure he has no idea what that means, having never trained his dog.  That *##@$%^*** dog could easily have jumped on Jet's very bad back.   Neighbour knows about her back problem.  Neighbour says, "yes, and she's being very good" leading me to think he may have tried to make her move.  ARRRGH at him and arrrrggghhhhh at me.

Oops, you won't do that again!

Rather annoying neighbour, esp. if he did try to make her move.

Yes, I should have known better when I saw him coming.  He is just about the nicest neighbour on our whole short little street but is kind of clueless about the animals.  And the dog is not mean, just BIG and rambunctious.  When I think now, it may not have been his idea to go and stand by Jet, his dog probably dragged him.  He is not a big man, likely only weighs a bit more than the dog, and he can't hold the dog if he doesn't have a tree or post or something to snub the leash around.  Many times I've seen him just standing on the street when the dog decides to sit or lie down while he watches something and the neighbour man can't move him.
