I went to Blackpool today,I dont go to many shows but my dog is shown regularly by friends as am busy with rescue at weekends. I like Blackpool show but was a bit surprised when I handed over a £5 note for a catalogue and no change,I always like a catalogue but think that maybe they will be a thing of the past for some exhibitors. many years ago you would see everyone marking their catalogues up and look forward to scrutinising it at home later but today several people asked me could they have a quick look at mine as they hadnt bought one. There was no charge for parking so that was ok and the venue easy to access. I am sure I saw at the gate (could be wrong) that it was £5 to gain entry without a pass which is a lot of money if you take people with you as your show pass admits two people so say a family exhibiting one dog has a child and partner thats another few £££s I spoke to a lady today who I hadnt seen for a while I asked if she was showing she said oh no I couldnt possibly afford it now :( I left my bait in the car which was quite a wlaking distance so had to buy some liver cake type stuff £2 for small bag and I also bought my new baby pup a new toy that was £4.99 :)
