Anyone been at Cheshire Show today?  If so, what are the ground conditions like?
Will we need our wellie boots tomorrow??
- By peilady [gb] Date 19.06.07 11:59 UTC
Hi KazzF

I was wondering the very same thing.. we are there tomorrow also, but the weather showed more rain and poss thunderstorms, just praying to god.. they get it wrong
- By setspan [gb] Date 19.06.07 16:31 UTC
I was there today, soft underfoot but not squelchy, trainers not muddy, obvioulsy will have had the rest if thew show traffic today and if it rains tonight then it may be worth taking wellies.

ooooh well done on getting though the grooming of the aussie!!!

Was over at my grandparents last week and the week before did two dogs a day of full bath, dry and trim. and no I don't have a blaster...Just a hairdryer

Two days to do 4 dogs. but yes I had an achy back WITH a raised Bath!!!!! :D  Bet it's a difference from your normal show routine!!! :D

I did also do grandparents boxer, she was just a shave of a whisker...or two!

Hi Rox

My back is still killing me.. I asked Drew if he thought it was funny.. and in typical Aussie style flew at me and bounced onto my knee... cheers Drew that helped my back heaps :)

Ohh Rox fancy all that hard work.. and with a hand held.. I have to admit I maybe looking into a raised bath in the not to distant future..its not just getting them into the bath, bathing them etc.. its then lifting the beastie up onto the grooming table... You have it in one Rox.. its sure a steep transformation from grooming Shar pei.....LMAO

I'm still a little weary about trimming at the moment.. don't want to make him look daft.. so Sarah said she 'd take me through it again bless her.

I have to admit he sure looked smoochy when I'd finished bathing and grooming him up..

I really am consdering a blaster for setters and aussies (boyfriend bless has offerd to buy me one) however I'm just worried how the dogs will be with it!!!!

My aussie boy jumps onto the table himself, the girls sometimes do but arnt as heavy as him!

Good luck with Grooming!!!! :D  Sarahs great at explaining and showing how it's done though. Have learn't alot from her when we got our Perry.

Let us know how you get on (you too Julie)

Well we all had a great day today.. weather held off and stayed fine.. and the sun shone to :) I was over the moon with my boy his first show and he gained a 3rd placing out of 6 entries.. I felt like we'd been placed at Crufts :)

We had a great time it was like the aussie corner, a real laugh and great company, pity we couldn't have stayed longer. but mum was feeling it badly she;s disabled so it was only fair to go for her benefit, I'd still have been there now I enjoyed myself so much :)

See you all at Blackpool, if I can kept Drew awake long enough that is.. bless him he's out for the count now :) been a rather busy day for the baby...LMAO

Thanks guys.. you made me feel so at home and one of the gang.
- By ice_queen Date 20.06.07 17:15 UTC
Well done...

Now...Onwards and upwards for the young lad!!!!
- By peilady [gb] Date 20.06.07 17:22 UTC
Hi Rox

He pratted about as any puppy would do.. "I don't want my leg there if you don't mind" kinda thing.. but it was his first time in a grass ring.. he's always been inside @ training class.. so I was expecting him to want to play to be honest :) As long as Drew enjoys himself thats all that matters to me.. win or lose..

And I'd like to say a well done for Gabrielle for her best of breed today.. that dog just gets better every time I see him :) Well done to you both.. you deserved it.

Sounds like the party spirit was well flowing :0) mums like you she won't touch a drop knowing she's driving a real stickler for it :0)  Don't know about you guy's but I have several glowing red patches.. I never knew I'd caught the sun till I got home, and thought wow that's hot...looked in mirror and I'm glowing like someone that had over done the sun bed...LMAO

Ahhh well done to you all.  This is the first year that i haven't been usually go both days, one with the Spanish and the next with my mums Pomeranian's.  I believe a few dogs didn't like the grass as it was rather dry and spikey in places.
