Ok I need some input here, a friend of mine took her bitch for a mating last week, using that mouth swab thing matell or what ever its called, took her to stud on day 8 as the swab had formed ferns.
The stud dog tied with her bitch and the next day she took her again and the stud was not that eager, the bitch smelt fishy but still nothing.  The bitches anal glands (they think) had empted that day and the stud just did not want to go with her.
The bitches anal glands have been checked and are empty, my friend is puzzled as to whether this would have put the stud dog off? Any input I could share with my friend would be truly grateful thank youx xxxx

My bitch once emptied her anal glands during the tie! The dog was no less keen on her when we went back a couple of days later for a second mating. :)

Especially in a maiden I think letting the glands go is quite common, after all it is stress/excitement and also pressure if they are full.

I agree that I don't think a knowledgeable stud would be put off, in the same way as he wouldn't be fooled for long by antimate sprays.
