Well we have had a great weekend! We are so pleased with our little girl. On Saturday she took 3rd in Special Yearling (unfortunately not a qualifier for Crufts) at Blackpool!! We were amazed and so excited - she managed to do that well with her breeders and sisters there to see it! (Dawn it was great to see you guys).
So we come back to do the Pool show today, thinking she might do okay, she got first in Graduate, then got BEST OF BREED!! Then went on to take 3rd in the Hound Group. We also got to finally meet Pam with the Pharoahs - it was great to finally catch up after a year or so of online chatter:)
All in all we are very proud of our girl:).

Great to see you again and maybe we will meet later at another show or at Crufts next year!!!!

Dawn
Thanks everyone!!
Dawn- I keep telling you Nick's parents would disown us if we got another - then where would we stay for Blackpool next year LOL.

Well done to Savannah Wendy. I saw the results for Blackpool and emailed Dawn about the terrible twins -she said the 3rd Aphrael one was you. So really it's been the tremendous trio this weekend :D
Sounds like Pool show was really the icing on the cake for you !! Congratulations

Well done Wendy, Feels good doesn't it :D

Yes we're talking whippets:) Savvy is one of Longdog's (Dawn's) last litter - her litter sisters have been doing well, it's just taken her a bit longer to get her 'show legs'. At 19 months I was wondering if she really had what it took.
It's been a good weekend. I don't expect it all to be like this, but at least I know there are some judges out there that like her:)
Thanks everyone for the good wishes.

Midnight - I'm finally home !!
What a day I've had ! Traffic Jams to get to Poole Show.
On my return home I stopped at a Mc Donald's and called in the
shop were I work as a evening supervisor (3 nights a week) to collect
the newspaper that hadn't been delivered. The manager was working
behind the till - one person phoned in sick & another had to go home
as unwell. Consquently I said I'd work after I'd got sorted out & changed
my clothes. So I worked from 7 p.m. onwards until closeing at 11 p.m.
As regards Poole show held at Ferndown, I was pleased to finally meet
Wendy and Savannah the whippet. Savannah showed well and I was
pleased Wendy did well with her. The rosettes had bones & pawprints
on the ribbons.
I didn't fair so well with my judge today - I was in Not separately classified Hound Open with Yonnie - 4th out of 4 - I was dissapointed
as the winning dog/borzoi was backing off & wouldn't be handled by the judge. The 2nd was a nice PBGV - but the 3rd was a greyhound who
even the owner admited should have been below my Yonnie/Pharaoh.
Some old Isle of Wight friends at the ringside said Yonnie showed &
moved well & couldn't understand why she was 4th out of 4.
Perhaps the judge didn't know about the minority hound breeds!
Still another show another day !! The last two weeks she's had B.O.B.'s.
I'll be a Windsor on Saturday - who else is going there?
