she just kept having fit after fit, she must of had about 20 in an hour, the vet gave me some medication to put up her bottom but it did nothing, she started fitting on wednesday evening and it same to change her she wasnt the same dog she was standing in corners and just staring at walls, i ask my vet if it could be l2 hga i think it is called, but she just dismissed that and said oh its fits

I'm so sorry. :( It sounds as though she was epileptic and had a cluster fit. :( If the diazepam rectal tubes don't help the only other possible treatment is hospital admission and the dog be given intravenous sedatives, and even then there's no guarantee that the animal will pull through. A very sad situation. :(

Lots of big hugs coming your way at a vrey difficult time xxxx

it could very well have been L2, as fitting is a symptom of this hereditary illness, and certainly your description of standing in corners, staring at walls would fit the bill too....
sorry for the loss of your dog

That also happens when trying to get the correct dosage of epilepsy medication, so I don't think anyone will ever know for sure. :(

So sorry.
Hugs,
Sarah.

I'm so very sorry. :( I'm sure the medication didn't make it worse but was just a co-incidence. I have a dog on epilepsy medication and it has made a big difference to the number of fits he has, but my vet told me at the start it would be 4-6 weeks before the full effect was known as it needs to build up.
I'm so sorry about your dog, very sad news:(
