Topic Dog Boards / Health / spray for Hot Spots
- By Sarah Gorb [gb] Date 28.05.07 15:09 UTC
Breeze has yet another hot spot and really does not like us rubbing the cream on. Can anyone recommend a spray or can someone confirm that hibiscrub is diluted well, can this be used. She is in a buster collar so that she can't get to it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi  I wash with hibiscrub and then apply Vetzyme antibacterial powder to any hot spots.

Wash 2x's daily with salt water - it will soon dry up.

I have found the Best results using diluted hibiscrub and then applying wound powder which seems to take up the icky wetness and thereby preserving the coat.

I have used Fuciderm cream very effectively on a badly infected one that was where she could scratch at it.

Thanks very much, Barbara :) It looks as though that was what Bramble had when his anal glands were playing up last year !!! Now I know what to call it :D :D
