Just been to fetch the paper from the corner shop and bumped into a neighbour and she was buying herself a walnut whip (chocolate with a creme filing with a walnut on the top) I said "its a bit early for chocolate" she said its my Sunday afternoon treat.Once a week when her hubby takes the chilren swimming she sits and eats a walnut whip and does nothing.

I must say I think mine may be fresh flowers for inside the house....about every fortnight I can spend £30/40 on flowers I adore choosing them then arranging them.

I wonder what is your one luxury/treat...just for yourself not for the family, work, animals....just for you?

Apart from eating out it would have to be the Cinema.

My son is at that horrid age and a right pain in the ass at the moment, but we still go to the Cinema for all the new films, which is something we have done together since he was quite small.

Used to go with both the children but since my daughter turned teenage it seems to be a mother and son thing, though sometimes we also go with her and her boyfriend.

I have my nails done every four weeks and a facial every six weeks, had a facial for many years now at least 11!  Nails I started when I stopped smoking as a reward x

To be honest I can't remember a time when doing nothing was possible. I'd love to be able to curl up with a book, or meditate listening to music, but I can always see something that needs to be done! So I do it. I'm not keen on going out much - it must be 10 years since I went to the cinema, which I used to quite enjoy before dogs/family. A treat would be to have nothing that needs doing - and sadly that time will never come!

Saturday morning, trombone lessons for daughter, followed by a trip to the French Deli. We almost always buy.....walnut bread and french round loaf, slab of rillette(duck); slab of Breton pate; whatever cheese takes our fancy.
yum I love Saturday....

Donnax what on earth is eyebrow threading
- By craigles [gb] Date 28.05.07 06:33 UTC
Threading is a system of removing eyebrow hair using a cotton thread.  Some men have it done as it gives them a real smooth finish on their face (beard area).  A turkish hairdresser I know does it, although I have never had it done.

To sit in the garden in the shade, with a cup of coffee and something to read, listening just to the birds and the sound of silence :) :) Never happens really as we are always too busy doing something in the garden to ever have any time to actually sit in it :D :D :D

It would have to be a peaceful uninterrupted long soak in a hot bubbly bath, with a glass of chillled wine, a couple of scented candles and a good book .  HOWEVER, in reality this never happens  cos as soon as I get in, one of the children who should be in bed, comes in asking 101 questions about what I am doing, why do I have candles, can they have a bath etc?? Either that or OH saying he needs the loo (in which case I dont really want to hang around .............

Books! I read 2-3 a week and have certain authors I MUST :) read each new one from -but also often by second hand paperbacks. :)

Again a long hot soak in the bath!! Love to go in with a book and just chill. Especially when there's no one else in the house!!:-D

That and getting time to just go out for a long ride just me and the horse and having no time scale that I have to be back for. Doesn't often happen but is nice when it does.:-D

A hot bubble bath, candles and a book whilst OH is looking after baby and time to pamper myself with a pedicure and manicure afterwards, makes me feel like a new woman and doesnt cost a penny :)
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 27.05.07 21:08 UTC
My treat is either a new book to read or LUSH bath bombs :)
- By spiritulist [gb] Date 27.05.07 21:11 UTC
Mine is going off to bed early...alone. Then I snuggle down with my teddy, and watch a film on the TV. Bliss

Or tattooed (at least I think that they are tattooed - I'm not very experienced in these things :D :D D: :D ):eek::eek:

The only beauty treatments that I've ever had done was my daughter persuaded me to go with her to have my nails done before a wedding once :) :) So almost a beauty treatment virgin :D :D :D LOL

- By ClaireyS Date 28.05.07 16:56 UTC
lol

I get mine waxed but not very often, I tend to keep them up together in between waxing by tweezering.

I like to treat myself to flowers once a month when i do my food shopping, I didnt get any this month though, im trying to cut back :(
