Ok I'm not going to comment about my thoughts of the latest winner.
I did not see his class and he may well have deserved to win it...
But i did watch the final on sunday. Chow, dane and pointer.
IMHO
The pointer bitch was an absolute superstar... she looked amazing stacked and on the move literally took my breath away, there are very few dogs i have watched over the years do that, i think philip olivier was that most recent, although yes freddie and yogi both are great movers ;-)

So, after the fiasco of the boston win which i have to say left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth, what does everyone else think?

Oh and the final did have three big name handlers in it, and the chow was weaving and swaying all over the place going away... :-(  And i don't really think he photographs too well either!?!

I felt really sorry for the pointer connections, though she is a young bitch and i am sure she will qualify sometime this year :-)

I dont think this forum should be used to critisised judges decisions. Im sure who ever judged liked the Chow the best.

Why not  Surely it should be up for debate :)

The judge's decision is always final, isn't it? I've seen it written here many times that any gripes about the judge are best said in the car on the way home, in private! ;)

I think it's very difficult to compare a pointer and a chow :)  I don't know and didn't see either of them, but in general a pointer would look fantastic from the ringside - stacked and moving. You would probably need to go over the chow to appreciate it, and they're not as flashy as pointers - but it doesn't mean to say it wasn't a better example of it's breed :)
