Today my friend couldnt believe her eyes when she saw my 18 month lab laid on the lawn with my black and white dutch rabbit licking her neck!
Would your dog do this...... or would it be the other way round!!

How cute!! :D

I used to have a Goldie and he would lay infront of the fire and my black cat would come along and tread ground on his back and then lay on top of him! :D The cat also used to eat out of the Goldies bowl when he was eating his tea and the Goldie did not but an eyelid!! :D :D :D

Before or after feeding/???

Wow wow wow, that is cool, I would love the thought of that in our house hold.

The only thing I can be proud of is Kez does not bother with the three ducks who land and groom themselves in the garden, the squriels who are digging a 18 hole golf course for me, he just sits there or lies down looking at them.

However I think who would chase a bunny given half the chance

I used to have a wonderful photo of a previous Golden of mine, or two photos rather. One showed him laying down with a rabbit when he was about a year old, the other a different rabbit when he was about 10. In fact I seem to remember the second photo made it into a book about rabbits I wrote ages ago. I also have photos of him with a rat on his back, and a photo of my first Golden with a hamster on his back.

When Simba (also Golden) was a pup he managed to open a rabbit hutch and actually carried the rabbit down the garden -where he sat it down and gently licked it. On the other hand a Mali I bred opened the door to her owner's rabbit's hutch, and the rabbit was in pieces when found.

We had a Lucher years ago, who would carry our kitten cat(persian cross)around in his mouth! The cats head used to be in the Lurchers throat and the legs dangled out. The Lurcher would then put it down gently on the floor, back legs first and the cat never flinched.

A bit of a funny story really as we had the plumbers installing the central heatig and from upstairs, I heard this horrendous scream, "MISSUS! MISSUS! FOR **** SAKE HELP! THE DOGS ETT THE ******* CAT!!!!!"

He,He,He.

I have 2 dobes and guinea pigs and they both clean (lick ) the guinea pigs :-P most people are horrified if I get the piggies out and  then put them down as they think that they will get eaten lol but it is the complete opposite, they absolutely love them!! :-D

Cute. My BC would be groomed by out rabbits and GP and he'd give them a good cleaning too. I never left them togeter unsupervised though just in case. Certainly one rabbit was a bit nasty and he'd give our BC a sharp nip so he just wasn't safe to be left with them!

Thats cute, many moons ago we had a ferret who would share milk out of the same dish the cat was drinking from and would often curl up with the cat and go to sleep it was really lovely to watch

My old dog the lhasa Nelly who has sadly now passed on, used to share the garden with our guinea pig flathead (don't ask)and we have many photos of them together they were best friends.  During the summer months, i left the guinea pig out all day and left nell out when I went out and they had the summer house for shelter, they loved being together. Even in the winter they would be in the summer house together whilst I cleaned the hutch out for flathead.

My daughter's standard poodle and border collie regularly have the rabbit hopping round and the hamster rolling about in its ball, and all are quite happy.

I have a photo of my old Gordon Setter, Ollie laid in front of the fire with my minature rabbit, Henry on top of him, both fast asleep.

I always used to keep pet rats and the dogs never bothered with them, except the odd bum clean

I have a lovely picture of Ido with one of my lovely rats Darcie....Ido complete with a very bemused look on his face :D It's nice memory to have as she died about 18 months ago :(

My girls would do that as well......to tenderise the bunny before they devoured it :D :D :D

Hi, we have a cat that comes into our garden and literally chases our boxer around the garden. She is such a wimp, first she approaches the cat but as soon as the cat snarls at her she runs away with the cat in tow. Maybe one day they will be friends!
- By Jetstone Jewel [ca] Date 14.05.07 13:35 UTC
Jet would do that.  I have photos of her at 18 months and 55 pounds wrestling with a kitten aged 10 weeks and weighing about three or four pounds.  The kitten always won.
