Hi there

Can somebody settle and argument with me & my hubby (i'm sure i'm right)  :D

Now i thought at the National last year the rings on hound day were outside but they were wet weather rings so half covered (hope i'm making sense)  He says not and that we did our showing inside, but i thought that was the houndshow in August.

Thanks in advance
:-)

We showed on Hound Day at The NAtional last year.  We definitely were inside (Whippets)  It was lovely sunny day as i have pictures we took outside - showing was definitely INSIDE though.

also inside at The Hound Show but that was due to the awful weather.

lots of the hounds were inside last year, some were outside. sadly likely to be the same this year

I showed My PBGV (Hairy Bassets) and we where out side so was the bassets pharos and a few others

we were inside with our daxi's,so i suppose in a way you are both right!!

I've been looking at some photos, i don't take a lot of photos at shows but i've found one and we were outside, proof at last :-)

Hubby is now agreeing as our dog didn't like walking on the white plasticy type things near the benches.  At the houndshow we were inside as it was raining and murky, it was one of those days where everything went wrong, from arriving late to having a soggy dog, LOL

What breed do you have as I got my passes in today and it gives you the ring plan so you know whether your inside or out, if you let me know your breed i can tell you, mind you you prob got your own passes in today and will be able to see for yourself

Thanks so much my passes came on saturday we have 37 dogs/36 entries it's about usual for our breed, but we want to try and qualify our pup for Crufts 2008 so it seems more nerve wracking :-)

We're also going up to the SKC, and i'm on tenterhooks with the postie for those passes just for the entry summary, LOL

Birmingham will be my greyhound puppy bitch's first champ show.
Thankfully we are not first breed in ring so will not have to leave home quite
so early.

Pam snap it's our pups first Champ show as well, very nerve wracking.

We're lucky as we don't live to far away, but i do like to get there earlier so i can settle in and get those last minute things sorted.  Mind you we are first in the ring this time.

Good luck :-)

Snap, my pups first champ show too, at a raw age of 6 months 10 days, should be fun

I think there's going to be some tantrum throwing pups there then :D  Mine'll be 10 months old and so far in the open shows she either behaves like a little angel or like the hound from hell :D

Cora the greyhound was born 3rd November - her first show is a local open show on Sat 5th May.  But Birmingham will be her first breed class / ch show.

Good luck with May 5th as well, i bet you & Cora will have loads of fun :-)

I must admit i prefer showing my adult dog as he's a gent but we're retiring him as although he loves the show ring he doesn't like the comings & goings beforehand, it does seem to stress him out a little, poor lad.
