I have decided to throw myself into driving lessons to keep me sane once I have learnt I will get a car and on Its me or the dog a while ago there was a lady with small dogs who were a nightmare in the car so they got there own dog seat each like a little box does anyone know where I can get them?

Do you mean like this? Not sure how secure it would be though - have visions of dog going straight through the windscreen if you had to stop suddenly  Maybe it could be used in conjunction with a car harness (attached to the seatbelt) somehow.

Another one. Bit more expensive though!

Something to consider, normal cages are extremely noisey in a car. They do my head in, can't imagine how scary it would be for a puppy. My big dog would suffer total meltdown! LOL

Ours hated the car - had to be dragged/carried to it and would drool lots. When we stopped using the cage, she changed overnight into loving car journeys :)

Really annoying - saw two small dogs sat on a cushion on the front seat of a car (in a car park) :( :( What protection would they have in an accident, let alone just the car stopping suddenly :rolleyes:

yes they would be perfect as long as the dogs are secure Milo maybe ok with just his seat belt attachment but the box would be great for Cindy thanks

We found with our first puppy she didn't like our car and didn' travel at all well but would be fine in my grandparents car who had a cage.  When we got a cage she settled straight down and was fine :)

Just goes to show each dog is different.  To be honest I don't notice the noise to cages and never had except on one cage of my grandparents which ended up with ducktape used under handles etc and it became quite :)

A well made cage should be absolutely silent.  Barnesbrook are known as the Silent Traveller and as I do upwards of 35k miles per year a noisy cage would do MY head in let alone my two dogs!
