Hi all , my girl who had pups last year has had her first season and for the last couple of days she has been cleaning herself  constantly do you think a visit to the vets is needed or am I just being fussy ,she is eating and drinking normally.

Well if she is in season I would expect her to be fastidious.  If the discharge does not have a strong smell and is a normal colour and not going on too long then I wouldn't worry otherwise I would have the Vet look at her.

Hi thanks for prompt reply her season finished 2 weeks ago 'she was with me all the time no chance of her being pregnant could she just think she is

Cleaning herself wouldn't to me point to false pregnancy, unless you mean her mammary glands.

I would be thinking of Pyo if it were 3 weeks or so since her season, but earlier is a possibility.

Is she lethargic, drinking more?

No she`s her normal self maybe a visit to the vets to just check her would be best I`m obviously concerned as she is cleaning herself a lot

Just an update, I took Bonnie to the vets they scanned her ,no definate pyo ,they saw a lump vet was quick to say it may be an ovary ,she is now on AB`s and has to go back next week for another scan, wish they hadn`t said about lump.they took bloodtest also.
