They will be fine for him - all veg and fruit are excellent, EXCEPT grapes and onions

Tomatoes (and other members of the nightshade family) can exacerbate arthritis symptoms in sufferers but if the dog has no signs of suffering from arthritis then there should be no problem in him continuing to enjoy his cherry tomatoes :)

I give my dog an occasional cherry tomato and it has great entertainment value! She pushes it around on the floor delicately with her paws, a bit like a cat playing, then does the same with her nose, then picks it up gently and throws it up in the air-- takes about 10 minutes over this usually before finally eating it, LOL!
By the way Maria, I know that raw onion is not good for dogs but why are grapes bad for them?

Not Maria, but grapes and particualrly raisins have been shown to cause renal failure. Some dogs have only eaten a handful and died, others have had serious kidney issues for the rest of their lives.Yet again other dogs can eat grapes their entire lives and not have any detrimental effects. My dogs and many others i know have had the odd grape or two over the years.I think it's up to the individual dog and how they metabolise them.
They're not exactly sure what exactly it is in grapes that causes the problems.

Thanks for pointing that out Ktee, I should have said ALL onions cooked or raw should not be fed to dogs!
