I am fully comp with my car, it was bashed by a drunk driver on Thurs of last wk, and I still do not have either a courtesy car, or, hire car, this is just to warn all those who think that they will immediately get another car if their has been an accident, you do not get a courtesy car unless your car can be repaired, or like me, still waiting for the garage to get back to myself and insurance co about this. Still dont know if car can be fixed , or is going to be a write off.

I am totally disgusted after paying all that money over the years for the "little extras" that come with insurance policies to be let down like this, I do have a blue disabled badge for my car as my walking at times is very limited.  I am so glad that I am not wheelchair bound.  I have been stuck in the house since thursday,and am going crazy with boredom.

Well maybe tomorrow will bring some news.

Sorry to hear that but as a suggestion why don't you call your insurer and say that unless a car arrives by close of business today you will hire one yourself and send them the bill!

Already tried that one, did not work. LOL !!!!

I hope you get a car soon. My insurance has an extra in it that says I automatically get a courtesy car straight away whether it was a fault or no fault claim :)

Thanks for that info Ljs, I will remember that when I renew my insurance next time.

Likewise, when I had a non fault accident my insurer was on the phone 2 hours after with details of the courtesy car which was on the door by 12 noon the next day and the insurer of the other party also rang to ensure that I was okay for a car!!
