Hi all

My IW bitch has just started her 3rd season roughly 6 weeks early, quite caught me unawares! Has completely thrown my showing schedule too, all those shows l haven't entered for August & I could have done! On her last season she was over 2 weeks late, do you think she is likely to continue to be unpredictable as I would like to mate her next time and obviously have to give stud owner an approximate date.

Hi Trevor, my bitch came into season a month early, again!!!! hopefuly will mate her on her next season as this is her 3rd one and she was only 16 months old. I have noticed that if another bitch is in season and your bitch is anywhere near it, them this can bring yours into season early.

All mine are 2mths late we think due to my older bitch being spayed. I have orders for puppies and ppl frantically waiting for news, makes for some VERY interesting emails lol

Glad l'm not the only one. My bitch is 23mths now so 3rd season not too bad, yours is so young to be having 3rd isn't she! Our terrier bitch is 12mths and has only had 1, not due again till August so l'm hoping this will not bring her in early as l know other bitches being in at home can do that, but they are the only two we have, other canine family member is older bitch's dad.

Our bitch had her first season at five months and is showing signs of coming into season again (only four months later) there have apparently been a few bitches in her line that come in every four months. This means that by the time she's 23 months she will be going onto her sixth season
