Hi

This is a weird one really and hard to describe - My dog is eating and drinking as normal.  However, when he has eaten he acts as though he's in pain - he'll sit in a corner with his head down for a while.  He is coughing also on the odd occasion (i know its not KC), he seems quite meek and mild also at times.  A couple of time in the car recently he has coughed/choked and brought up a small of clear fluid etc an the other morning straight after eating he ran outside trying to eat bits of rubbish (grass, leaves etc) to make himself sick.  He is happy to go for walks etc although I have noticed he's not charging around like he norally does and seems to be panting more than usual..

Any ideas?

Sounds a bit like he has something stuck in his throat or a sore throat for some other reason.  I think you will have to take him to the vets.

Definately see a vet, coughing and reduced exercise tolerance are always things you should get checked out.

I'd definately get it checked out at the vets - let us know how you get on!

Hi Folks....

Had doggie to vets - they did blood tests and urine on Wednesday and all was fine - he's been in today for endoscopy and chest xray - the only thing they could find was - his throat was extrmley red and sore - he's been given antibiotics and meta cam.....
They're not sure why its so red and sore - becauase it's been like this for sometime now - i first noticed his coughing in November !!!!

Anyway - a week to try his tablets etc and then if they don't work - they are going to a biopsy, so fingers crossed he's just simply got a really bad infection !!!!!

Do you know why they didn't take the opportunity to take a biopsy while he was knocked out for the endoscope?

Yes they said it far too inflamed and red that they thought they could cause further problems!!!
