Hello all,

After all the "sad" news on the board recently I thought you may like some good news. Last year well around this time actually I was diagnosed with Breast cancer and had surgery followed by Radiotheraphy, well went to see my Doctor on Monday of this week and he said "There is no further evidence of the disease" FED - which is like being given your life back. I think I cried more on hearing that than I did
on hearing I had cancer in the first place.:rolleyes:

See Cancer is beatable - when the luck is with you. I've smiled a lot, as there is little to no point in making those around you sadder than they already are. And a smile is infectious.

Great news!  Absoultely this most scariest of diseases is beatable.  My mum is nearly 6 yrs clear of breast cancer, her friend is umpteen yrs clear of throat cancer, my ex-neighbour is about 6 yrs clear of prostate cancer, OH's boss of testicular cancer and my lovely SIL finished her Chemo about 18 mnths ago.

My father survived cancer in the early 1960s when it was the big 'C' and no-one dared even talk about it :( It's so good these days that it is out in the open and people can receive the support from their family and friends - just because they know :) :)
