Its with great sadness that I pass on the news that Liberty has passed away in hospital.
I spoke to her last week after she'd been discharged from hospital, I joked that she hadn't been discharged, but in fact was thrown out because no young male doctor was safe, her reply was "You know me too well, your right again" :) She was her usual cheerful self, those of you who met her know what she was like, sipping her Ribena, and cracking jokes.
As sad as I am today I will remember her as being fun, kind, caring and always seeing the bright side of life, Two memories will stay with me for ever, the time she sat in our lounge nursing a frightened 9 week old rescue puppy, her glass of Ribena forgotten as she comforted the puppy.
And the time we both stood in Church Cove, she said " I love this place, this is where I want to be" she looked so happy then, Alison you never made it to Church Cove, but when ever I'm down there you'll be with me and the dogs, I'll remember how you Loved to see Heidi retrieve, how you laughed when Ian tried to get Liberty to retrieve her ball from the sea and she wouldn't go in.
My thoughts now are with Ian and your family, there's a huge hole in their lives, I pray that one day soon the happy memories will push the grief away and the light Alison brought with her will once again shine.
Goodbye Libs, reunited once again with Bree, Missing you already, Don't be a stranger :)
