After waving off the last of her pups Merlot my Berny has spent the last 3 weeks shedding every bit of her coat, hairy rugs, fluffy balls of fur in the kitchen, no clean clothes without a layer of hairyness.....you get the picture? It has been quite mild up till today and it's now 4 degrees outside (brrrr) according to the temp gage in the car, so today looking more like a Lab than a bernese she has decided to sit outside in the wind tunnel down the side if the house out of the sunshine and the coldest bit of garden she can find, this morning on our walk she plunged into the icy waters of the springs where we walk, they come straight out of the ground and are always cold even in the summer her mum and auntie looked at her like she was mad? she is bouncing with life today so the cold weather must really make her feel good, she has obviously decided to see if she can kick start her coat into growing again so by the time the summer gets here she will be too hot!!!! Needled to say me and the others are tucked up warm indoors but she is very happy to stay outside for the day! She must be nutts!!

It has gone very chilly just got back from very bracing walk

Moose my eldest loves to lurk outside and is often found outside on her patio area :D :D

She has been moulting for about six weeks now and has finally got to the last bits on the side of her legs which are being very stubborn to get off mmm me thinks the dog matches her coat :D :D

On her postive side though she has just done the best ever walk to heel for me and even Dudley my youngest sort of joined in  :D

I think Merlot and Moose would make very good friends ;)

Love the name Moose, what breed? Merlot must of overheard me chatting to a friend yesterday and saying I probably won't take her to crufts this year as her coat will be  scraggy, she likes crufts, had a first last year! so she is taking remedial action!!

Merlot loves every ones doggies and would like to play with Moose, She likes someone big like her so she doesn't inadvertently squash 'em she is just a big squashy softy but is bigger than she thinks. She also has a very warped sense of humor, don't they all? Glad your Dudley did a nice walk to heel for you LJS don't you just love 'em whene they do that, usually whene no one is looking though so you can't show off!!

My girls have both matured into super dogs but it has taken a while to get there  :D :D

Moose likes bigger dogs as well as tends to find the smaller they are the less they like to be Moosed :D :D She ignores my mother's two mini Dacshunds :D

We do Merl'd in our house but being Moosed sounds like fun!
She is still quite happy outside even though its now gone dark and much colder, but Daddy is next door with his hussey (My best friend) fitting her new kitchen and I think she is keeping an eye on him for me?
