Does anyone know where I can order ID tags for my gang, my local place only does hand engraved ones which aren't really clear and the machines at pets@home are useless!
I've just spent ages looking on the web and have found 101 sites in the USA but not one in UK!

Soemtimes the vets do them thru mail order.
Also your local small petshop can get them as can
some of the smaller garden centres with pets dept in them.
Also some of the shoe-bar places also do id tags brass/chrome type.
Kind Regards

I got my last one from a shoe-bar type place; they've gone all computerised so it isn't exactly hand-engraving any more. Very clear and easy to read.

Hi
Have had all mine done at Pets at home, no problems, very clear, I have an engraver but can't seem to get the discs to engrave on anymore.

The ones that the vets do via mail order are brilliant.

Sam ,roughly how long do they take? need them pretty fast as we've changed our phone number so the dogs have no tags at the mo.
I'm going to check out a little pet shop down the road tomorrow and the shoe menders so hopefully will come up with something :)
You could do the cheap hand engraved ones to sustain you till your new ones come in.
I ordered some really nice ones mail order from a pet store, and since them I've ordered direct from the company called Pet Tag Engraving. They are the nicest tags we've ever had. This last time when I ordered replacements I received them the next day. The telephone number is 01489 799912. Perhaps they can send you a brochure?

Agree, lol!

hi Juloe
which vet do you use.
I picked up details of a place that does great tags mail order at the vets! It was at the one on Court Farm road in Longwell Green.
There was a choice of thick plastic and brass in various shapes sizes (and colours in the plastic). I too was sick of haveing ilegible tags. the girls had theirs done two years ago, and they are good.
I have my name, address and telephone on one side and the fact that they are chipped and tatooed, and to contact Petlog or NDTR on the other!

Hi B
I use Fernlea which could be something to do with the one in court farm rd as they cover each other out of hours. Looks like I'll be popping in the vets if the pet shop don't do any, good time to tell them about the number change as well I guess :)

From what Sam says, I think this company must have a thing with a lot of the vets! I just can't remeber, so if they don't have the cards at Fernele, just pop into the one on Court Farm road (Lucas'). They were about a fiver, but excellent quality, as not only are they well engraved, but the letering is filled with black! don't know if this is an oxidisation process to the metal, or a dye, but it doesn't wear off!
