Am due to get my bitch scanned on Tuesday :-) thing is she looks like she is showing and has done for a week, she is only 4 weeks in - isnt that too soon to be showing?  Cant remember her being this big so early on with last litter.

My girls was alreaady showing at 4 weeks on her second litter.

gollie last night look very larger around the tummy and she got to feb 8th,she look bigger this time than she did with her 1st litter.we only had one mating.i dont to scanning.

as you no i have scanning done with having a bitch who has silent seasons and never no if when we mate her we,ve got the right time so i scan to see if she is havinc pups and if she is i can be e, well as careful as you can extra careful as i show other dogs now i know how to feed at 6 weeks till 9 i have started splitting her meals up now as she,s(ALWAYS STARVING)  if you take heed of her and then i could end up with a fat         girl who ,s     having a small litter and could have probs whelping cause she got tooooo  fat well thats my plan hope it works

My girls always look bigger with 2nd litters, but doesn't necessarily mean bigger litters, I think their muscles aren't quite so tight......I know that feeling......lol.

I agree my girl looked much bigger earlier with her 2nd litter. Probably around 4 weeks I was fairly certain she was in whelp. 1st time although I knew she was from a scan she didn't really show until about 6 weeks.

I just want the scan so I know how many lol, so I can brace myself.  Her last litter had 10.  Yet another bitch a few years ago was HUGE but only had a singleton baby.

My younger bitch was only half the size of her mother yet has one more puppy than her about double what I would have expected from her size.  She had very little water, but her Mum always had loads!
