Because if Like me you had only had your licence 6 years you wouldnt be able to tow it at all ;)
Also, you need to find out the weight and length of it to make sure you are legally allowed to pull it without having to have more restrictions.
Our trailor for work is just under the weight it needs to be to be legally pulled without having to log every time we use it, where its going etc etc.
The Vosa guys (we cut the grass at a weigh bridge so got alot of advice from the Vosa guys there) were unsure them selves and went through the book with a fine tooth comb to find a claus which said we didnt need restrictions. :) :)
Just something to look into before you buy it ;)
Oh and when I have pulled the trailor (As the driving instructure told me I could, but then found out I couldnt!) It was easier to reverse a well balanced trailer with 1 1/2 ton on the back than the small trailer with no weight at all. This is in a transit van.
If its heavier you can feel the extra weight but to my view, if you can drive and reverse one caravan, you will be able to a bigger one ;)
Good Luck :)
Lea :)
