Hello all, Hope everyone had a great Christmas :)
I'd just like to know if anybody has ever had a photo printed on a canvas and how it looked? Also, I'd be interested in where is a good place to get them made? Im thinking of getting one for my friend's Birthday but have absolutly no idea about where to look!!!
Thanks for any help!

I've got one and I think it looks wonderful -needs to be a very good quality photo though. Most photo places do them now such as Truprint and I'm pretty certain even ASDA's photo places do. Very costly though. :)

lots of ebay sellers do this and they don't have the overheads that big shops have so prices might be cheaper. HTH

This is a service i offer my clients and would say just be careful &a sk questions before you part with your money! A reputable company will offer hand stretching of museum grade canvas on hand made stretchers, with a quality printng system whereas a cheap & nasty will use thin canvas that goes wrinkly in a short time on poor stretcher bars, or worse, not on stretcher bars atall, and they will be printed by inferior inkjet printers & start to fade quickly:mad:  As a rough guide, you should get what you pay for & about £40-£80 would be a high street price for a 9x6 or 10x8 using your own print (ie picture taken by/supplied yourself) and unframed, up to about £250 for same depending on the grade of the canvas & the work required. Less than that I would be suspicious!!

Ordered one for a friend for Christmas, Ordered on the 10th December got an email saying last ordering date for Christmas delivery was the 18th December (okay?) started to get concerned when it hadn't arrived by the 20th? Chased the company concerened only to find out it was a german based company!! and my picture hadn't yet been dispatched and even if it was dispatched in the next 2 days it would take a further week to get here!!  When I complained I got a email saying that he was a one man band and I should be more patient!! Picture did arrive this week quality awful, badly stretched and messy finish.  So if I do another of these I will be going to High street not net and would not recomend PosterXL!

My Dad has done this with photo's.  I think he did it with bonus print.  He does it over their website, e-mails the photo, really easy and quick service.

All have come out very nice :)
