Just a daft post, really :D

For my dog behaviour/training degree I have to train one of my dogs to a particular standard in a discipline of my choice.  I've chosen agility with Opi (the equipment's on its way in January, woo!), and as I understand I have to train her to the first level of competition - I don't have to compete, that's just the level I'm aiming for.

It's got me thinking though - long before my dad finally caved and let me get a puppy (which he has regretted ever since, more so when he said yes to a second!), I've wanted to compete in agility, but I didn't know the ins and outs - such as the activity register with the kennel club!

So (yes, there is a point to this post!), to those of you who compete in various things, what are your dog's activity register names and how did you come up with them?

For Remy I've been thinking "Remy Martin pour Deux", or "Remy for Your Thoughts" and for Opi "Fruit of the Loon" or "Afterglow of Lunacy" (spot the theme...) :D I did have a play on a band name generator earlier and got some crackers - though how I got from 'Remy' to "Forgiven Minty" I'll never know - I love it though!

I realise you are just playing with words at the moment, but, Afterglow is a registered affix (kennel name) so you wouldn't be able to use that. Of course if the said affix owner, (Mike Gadsby) bred your dog then it would already have a name registered using the word Afterglow.

You're welcome :)

I have three Afterglows here you see, so I knew that.

Afterglow Abacus, Afterglow Emmanuelle and Afterglow What's New Pussycat.

not Agility names but OBedience,so on the atcivites register.

Tara.= Alatar Razamataz    Wanted a word with Tara in,so Alatar is a play on that!(with a added L) & thought Razamataz went nicely

Nellie= Clanistan Hullabaloo. Nellie is part Clan abby & Caristan lines so Clanistan is a mixture of that. & believe me she IS a hullabaloo,

Flynn = Jaffson Black Magic.    Flynns dad was called Jaff. So from that we get "jaffSON" & his dads reg name was Dunnslayne all gold (being Gold coloured!) & so keeping the chocolate theme did "black magic"
which with flynn being Black works !

Maverick=  Forever Magic Xrated. Forever magic is his breeders Affix & all the litter start with the letter X

We had Valgrays (suffix) Magic Moment (your first clear round, win or whatever really is a magic moment); The Hooligan (nutty in the ring!) and, most recently, Sunny Bunny (but that hardly counts as he's only done one show).
