Hi guys

Wondered if anyone could help.  Let my nephew use my laptop and since then when i get an email with an attachment, it does not let me open the attachment.  The paper clip is there and when i click on it the attachemnt is there but it is all greyed out and doesnt let you open it  has anyone got any ideas on whats wrong with it?

Go to 'Tools' then 'Options' then 'Security'. You will find something that says 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened ...' - the box will probably be ticked - untick it, then click 'Apply' at the bottom :)

By my way of thinking, if you don't know who sent it assume it's a virus and delete it. If it's important they'll send it again.

But if opening attachments has been disabled in Outlook Express, then he'll never be able to open it :D :D

press the forward button then you should be able to open it - let us know how you go on
