Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / Labrador barking then grunting!!
- By karan [gb] Date 05.12.06 13:31 UTC
Hi there.  This is not a "problem" as such and it does not cause me any great concern, however I would be interested to know why my Lab does the following!:

Occasionally when he barks, he then "grunts" through his nose as if he is trying to get snot or flem up, as humans do!!  This only lasts a couple of seconds.  Like I say, not a grave problem, just curious!!

Any suggestions???

Regards

Could be something called reverse sneezing

One of my dogs does this when she gets over excited.
