I get really annoyed with some of the big high street stores and the prices they ask.
I'm currently helping my parents and they need a new fridge. I told them I'll have a quick look on-line for ideas.
Found a nice Zanussi one with fits the bill - but the difference in prices - wow.

John Lewis £149.00 2 year guarantee Free  delivery - in stock
Currys       £169.95 1  "         "         £19.95  "
Dixons       £121.95 1  "         "         £29.95  "
Argos        £179.98 1  "         "         Free delivery (express)
Argos        £159.99 1  "         "         £4.95 (out of stock - 35 days poss). I guess Argos have two different prices because one comes direct form the supplier (at a huge cost to the customer !)

I'll carry on looking but how can currys/dixons/argos justify these prices ?. I've always found JL to be so good yet people are under the impression they are posh & expensive !.

I always do what your doing and do several searches on the internet for the best price.

I think most stores are at it and if you look hard enough you can usually find it cheaper.

Hi Val

Have you tried Froogle ? I normally use that if I am trying to do price comparisons :)

How are you fixed later on in the week for some real shopping ? :D
