Hello

Any suggestions, my dog has some how got chewing gum matted into the hair on the back of her leg, the hair is too short to cut and Im stumped as to get the bloody thing off.

Any suggestions appreciated :)

Hold an icecube on the gum to make it brittle and it'll crack off. :)

Thanks Jeangenie I will give it a go now...tried peanut butter and everything else I could thihnk of short of putting her in the freezer!!!:rolleyes:

Mayonaise,or peanut butter,rubbed into the chewing gum will get it out of the fur.I tried the former on my St poodle's ear hair and was able to fine comb it out.The success rate is heightened if you get to the gum before it sets rock hard.

Try a stitch cutter, the sort you can get from a sewing shop.
They are very good at slicing things up and you can slip it between the hairs and reduce the gum to small pieces then it's easier to comb out.
