Something like that would be good for helping a strain to heal, but i wouldn't neccessarily use it in place of metacam as that is a NSAID (anti- inflamatory pain killer), so the two would work differntly. Metacam doesn't heal the injury, just takes away inflamation and pain, where as something like synoquin that has glucosamine and chondroitin or something with green lipped mussel would help the muscles and tissues to heal themselves. Whats in the joint health tincture?
When my WSD pulled her cruciate she was on both metacam and synoquin, but once it was no longer painful she was just on the synoquin.
