hello,

my puppy (well she's 9 month so not really a puppy anymore!!!!) still wees and do her business in the house even though she is toilet trained and has got access to the garden whenever she wants to! I don't understand it. And everytime I don't see her do it so i can't really have a go at her because she won't understand! any suggestions?

Go straight back to basics ...as of now ;)

When she eats anything or drinks anything, or when she wakes up ...TAKE her outside and stand out there with her ...try using a key word , we say *hurry up* , and stay out there with her , saying the key words until she does a wee or a poo. When she performs, give her loads of fuss and tell her how good she is

IF she has a mistake in the house, take her outisde and stay there with her until she performs (as described above). Clean up any accidents with a solution of water and biological soap powder . Never tell her off for an accident but always praise her for the right thing.

Is she due into season for the first time?

it started about 2 weeks ago. I didn't think of it but that could be reason. But she poos as well as weeing. We don't say nothing we clean it up with johnson desinfectant which should not be toxic for animals.
Back to basics:cool: yes it needs to be done!!!!!

Some disinfectants smell (to dogs) similar to wee and actually encourage them to soil the area again. Better to clean up with a solution of biological washing liquid and then wiping hard surfaces with surgical spirit to remove the last lingering scent.

Hmmm, access to the garden whenever she wants?  Could she have been frightened by something when out there on her own?  I've had trouble like that with neighbours and nasty kids.  Puppy is in a vulnerable position when she does her business so you will have to work all the harder at the above ideas if she has been scared.  And try to find out if there is a scary thing.
