Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / windy puppy

My GR puppy is 17 weeks old today and loves her food. At the moment she has JWB dry puppy food in the morning, mixed with a boiled/scrambled egg, a tin of rice pud in the afternoon and her last meal is JWB dry puppy food. She always has access to water and drinks plenty.
She is growing well and now weighs 14kgs. She is however wery windy and pongy!! When she goes to the toilet though it is generally well formed and not runny.
My question is can I try her with the raw egg at this stage-would that be OK? hoping she may be less pongy that way!

HAMSTER AGAIN. Just read the thread posted by Zarah on 5.11.06 about raw eggs so maybe my question about the eggs was quite relevant--- didn't know there was so much debate about feeding raw eggs---- now I am even more confused!!!

I think you'll find most posts about food seem capable of generating a debate. ;-) I couldn't advise as to whether cooking an egg would give your puppy more wind or not but it would be harder to stuff into a kong raw. :-D (boiled egg kongs a favourite treat around here)

I would cut out the egg and rice puddings and just feed the complete puppy food at each meal.  Not only might it remove the wind issue but you know the diet is always balanced then too.
