Hello all,

Haven't had time to post for ages, but this has been on my mind for a while now, so here goes....

At the CLA game fair this year, (ab fab!), i got talking to a kennel-man who had a pack of working-type Bassets, they are lighter in weight with less wrinkles, no baggy eyes and longer legs. (I thought that they were Basset x Beagle). Has anyone seen any of this type of Basset out of a pack environment?  There must be some that are not used for hunting, i just wondered if anyone had one, or knows of someone who does.

They are absolutely lovely, not for the faint-hearted i expect, and a lot happier living in a pack, but fab nevertheless.

Cheers chaps

Ali :)

Apart from working packs the neares I ahve seen to that type was a broad.  They were Basset Artesian Normaund, very attrctive, like a Basset with a tummy tuck and face lift.

yes i know three folk who took back the working bassets that they had puppy walked for their localhunt pack......not the easyest & certainly not to be left nr valuable furniture unattended, or let off anywhere within 5 miles of a road!!!
