Hi

is it ok to give 6 month old whippet adult complete food or should she still be on puppy.

My local shop does not have a great range and has now stopped doing the puppy one

Thanks

Wendy

I know a lot of whippet breeders in the States actually rarely if every use puppy food.  I think she'll be fine.

Hi, I like to keep my Whippets on puppy food until they are at least a year. Could you ask your local shop to order a bag in for you. Failing that, all of the big pet places have puppy food. Don't forget if you change foods to do it gradually.  Good luck with your puppy,

I don't know if it varies from breed to breed, but when I fed kibble I would change from puppy at about 6 months to Junior till 12 months before feeding adult?

It depends on the breed, I think. I start to change my medium-sized breed (25k when adult) from puppy to adult food at about 6 months.
