On dogpages someone has said that their vet recommends three yearly booster, some say 3 months can lapse before boosters. What does your vet think? Interested to know about this.
I also read this somewhere I think it was on a US site that your dog only needed three yearly boosters. However I think it must be different in the UK as mine are done annually.
It will vary depending on the manufacturer you are using but some diseases have been shown to be covered for at least 3 years now but some others remain requiring a booster annually and this is what most protocols now recommend. It is sensible to have your vet examine your dog annually anyway so he will be able to explain the new (or not so new now :)) protocols when you visit, together with any local risk elements that may suggest greater precautions than the minimum protocol recommendations. If you search Champdogs on the subject of vaccinations you will find a wealth of discussion on the matter ;).
Hm sounds like a difference of opinion depending on which vet and where in the country. I am wondering if to have Tyto done for Kennel Cough as we do our first show in two months, he will be a year old then.
