This hospital has come up with a proposal to raise extra revenue and pay off debts by treating pets who have cancer on a Saturday morning!!! They reckon it could raise £50000 a yr for them.
I think it's a great idea...at least it's not coming out of public money for once.
Re Dogs in hospitals: when my mother was in hospital last year, I was allowed to bring my puppy onto the ward every day. She cheered everyone up no end, and only weed once! (I mopped it up before anyone noticed!)
I can't see a problem. About nine years ago one of my dogs needed an MRI scan. At the time the only one known was in a hospital in Buckinghamshire that the vet had permission to use in the evenings and at week-ends. The idea of vets using it was to help with the costs.
Hi ya i think it is a fantastic idea they get all the medical they need and we are helping to keep the funding up i dont see what all the fuss is about after all they are our kids as well as the human ones
I have PAT dogs and you are right they aren't allowed in hospitals down here either.
As someone who has been in and out of hospital for nearly 3 years and hates all things medical, I would have loved to see a PAT dog whilst I was there. Would have made it all more bearable.
