Hi everyone,i am interested to get your opinions and ideas.I have a 5 year old WHWT with Addisons disease which was diagnosed back in June. She has been well managed on varying doses of medication and we have just seemed  to have got her bloods stable. However this weeks blood test has shown that her sodium levels are 'on the low side of normal'.My vet has told me to give her a teaspoon of salt twice a day with her food.I have every confidence in my vet but am really worried about giving her this amount of salt ,i wouldn't like to take that much myself! Her next blood test is in two weeks.Has anybody experienced anything similar ?

if you click on this link
http://endocrine.niddk.nih.gov/pubs/addison/addison.htm#treatment
you may have to scroll half way down to 'treatment' but it mentions in there about giving salt water (saline)
