Mine have been on Autarky for about 10 months now and I have to say they've never looked so good. Super skin and coat, they're calm yet they have loads of energy, I can put weight on and off with it as desired and there's even less poos to pick up! It really suits mine :)

My Lab was on autarky for a while he did well on it but I had a bad batch which Rolo refused to eat and the company sent me there chudley range which Rolo is now on and thriving on it.

Before this thread degenerates into the "my ideas are the only ideas worth pontificating about" can posters please remember that everyone is entitled to a view, and, just as we do not expect everyone to conform with our ideas of food for ourselves, the same should apply to our dogs?
Please :)

My dogs are doing well on autarky (and my bank balance isn't faring so badly either!) I used to have them on burns which i found to be just as good as autarky, but at half the price i certainly can't really justify the extra money for burns as it seems to have the same effect on them.

Couldnt agree more

Out of Nutro and autarky,i'de choose autarky. Nutro is way too overpriced for what you get.

I've had very good results with Nutro. Never tried Autarky.

What did your breeder suggest? i would go with the breeder who knew their lines rather than swap and change.

I've had good results with Autarky, never tried nutro :)

If you're paying almost £40 for Nutro then you're paying WAY TOO MUCH!
I doubt you live in Scotland but if you did, Redcastle sells it for about £32 a bag but if you buy a 4 bag deal you'll get it for £26.50 a bag (£24 on their Open days!).
I can't praise Nutro enough.
I use Nutro Choice, changed onto it when Earl (RR) was 4 months old and he's now 9 months. He looks superb on it and it helped solve the loose stools problem he had on the feed recommended by his breeder. Not tried any other feeds.
I give him the Large Breed Puppy option, which is about £37 here in Norfolk. A 15kg bag lasts well over 7 weeks and I don't think that's bad considering his size and amount he eats/day.
He goes onto the adult option when he's 12 months old (as recommended by the Nutro rep).

Who's Redcastle? What about North England/Midlands, do they do there?

No..No such Luck for us 'Sarsanacks' Terry ;)
Redcastle animal care are based in Dundee and deliver dog feeds to Scotland only :(

my dog kia is doing great on autarky this is best food i found for her, i also add a little tripe with it.

Oh :( I used to go to nursery school in Dundee - do you think if I told them they might add in an extra trip to Northern England? ;)

I love Redcastles!! :D
Would cost me a fortune to feed my gang if it wasn't for them!

hi there, have you tried Gusto, made by same people as Gusto but even better priced at around 6.00 per 10 kg bag, mine live it and look great on it too.
