freind of mine has a puppy that had an eye infection when with the breeder it was sorted by the vet but having having her 2 days the eye has become sore and dry again ..she was seen by another vet last night who said the puppy had dry eye maybe caused by the infection that has stopped tear production or possible just dry eye

she has been given different antibiotics and tear drops and will be seen again in 7 days

has anyone else had any probs like this and what was the out come .

Maybe worth finding out if this breed is prone to dry eye.

my puppy has been diagnosed with dry eye at the age of 10 months. She is on treatment of daily ointment called optimmune, which is helping to improve the condition slowly. Your friends vet should carry out the Schirmer test to confirm a diagnosis of dry eye.
