Hi
Took my whippet pup out for a walk on Thursday night and she came home limping.
Slightly limping Friday so took her for a short on lead walk and she was ok. Yesterday still limping but looking a bit sorer so rested her all day. Have looked and looked and cannot find anything amiss. no swellings cuts grazes ect.
This morning she has a swollen toe, It is the one like our pinkie on the front paw. I have had a look and it doesnt appear to be anything in it but it is sore.
Apart from this she is bouncing about. I am having trouble resting her. She is eating ok so not bothering her to much
Any suggestions what I should do with it. If it is no better tomorrow I will see the vet but in the mean time any ideas?

try bathing it in salt water. I usually use hibiscrub, but salt water is fine as an alternative.
I'd suggest taking her to the vet if you cant see anything obviously wrong with it and shes still limping.

Hi
The paw is a lot better tonight. She is walking on it but it is still swollen. The way she is bouncing about it cant be giving her much pain. I have rested her for two days and now she is desperate for a walk. I will see how she is in the morning after a short on the lead walk,
Thanks

It could be a bite or a thorn, grass seed, let us hope that it is the former........

Hi
Looks like she has bumped it. The swelling has gone down and she is using it now. But you can see bruising under the white fur.
She is such a delicate wee thing to.
On the mend now luckly
Thanks
Wendy
