My 16 month old boy is constantly panting, he seems to all intents and purposes in fine health, I did mention this to the vet some while ago but she dismissed it and said the weather had been particularly warm.  Now obviously I know they pant when they get hot, but he seems to pant ALL the time, I have an 8 year old and she hardly ever pants, except after exercise or when the weather is hot.  The younger one even seems to find the house too warm and chooses to stay outside most of the time. He has boundless energy so it doesnt seem to bother him much.  However he sleeps in the kitchen which has a cold floor and even first thing in the morning when I go into him he is panting...is this normal??

I don't know whether its normal or not but Sam who is 2 is like that and he constantly has fangs of drool as well so everyone has to duck for cover when he shakes. The vet doesn't seem concerned he thought that maybe he was stressed but I think they just say that because they don't know the reason. Otherwise Sam is fine.

My flatcoat tends to be a bit panty compared to my gsp. I worried it was because he had a heart murmur - but his murmur's gone as he's grown :D and he's still panty, so I think it's just him!

Same with my rott mix, she's always been a panty dog - and when she's had a good runaround, you'd think she was going to pass out - tiredness on top of the normal panting - but she's absolutely fine!
