Mine loves jumping in the tub with me. All right when he was a baby dog, not allowed now that he's a big muddy beasty! Deosn't stop him from looking and using his powers of telepathy on me.

Will there be room in your shower cubicle for him as well? ;) :D
JG - Let me think about that one.........eerrrrrmmmmmm NO :) I had thought that the bath was the one doggy free space but how wrong I was. I had a bit of a think about it last night and figured out why he did this. He's quite a nervy dog and gets easily spooked. One of the things he doesnt like is when the football is on the TV, because my OH becomes a leading footie manager and shouts at the TV

When things freak him out he disappears upstairs and he jumps in the bath(the dog not my OH). I think this is because he didnt like bathing when he was young and we constantly told him he was a good boy when bathing him so when there are loud voices he jumps into the bath - although its always empty when he does. No idea why he would do this as we have never shouted at him to tell him off, just the way he is I suppose. Last night my husband was playing a football game on the PC and I think he recognised the sounds of the crowds etc, put 2 and 2 together and came up with 47! I think he just wanted to get in the bath and I happened to be in there. The good thing about this is that once he was in the warm water he relaxed and really enjoyed it (same cant be said for me!) and even brought his ball with him. At least I know how to calm him when stressed now. I can see us using an awful lot of water during major football tournaments!!

ROFL! :D :D :D I hope you made him have the tap end! :D :D
I didnt really have any control over the situation as I had never considered training him in the art of bathing. He just plonked himself on top of me so I got out of the bath dirtier than when I got in, covered in dog hairs and stinking of wet dog! Not to mention the hairs left in the bath after - my husband must have wondered what on earth I had been shaving in there!
Note to self - train Sox in bath etiquette, Quickly!

LOL! That's made my day! Off to walk the dogs with a grin now! :D :D Thanks!

I have a marvellous invention called a door in my bathroom which I shut when having a bath/shower :D :D :D

Strangely enough, I too have one of those marvellous inventions. Problem is its not thick enough to drown out his whining on the other side :D

LOL im still giggling about it, i wish my 2 dogs loved getting in the bath, they are the opposite.

:p :D :D :D
Mine don't try to get in they just hang their heads over the side and either try to lap the water or eat the bubbles.
I try to keep them downstairs with OH while bathing.

One of our dogs used to treat the bath as a place of sanctuary. He didn't actually like being bathed in it but was absolutely spooked out by fireworks, thunder or gunshots (living in the country it can get a bit like Dodge City occasionally) so if we'd been out and he'd heard any of the noises that terrified him we'd come home to find this huge hairy dog lying full length in the bathtub.

Thats exactly what Sox does when hes spooked by something. BTW football is on and Sox has disappeared. MMMM I wonder where he could be??
