Topic Dog Boards / General / How many feathers in a pillow!!???
- By rachelsetters Date 14.09.06 16:04 UTC
ALOT  I can tell you having just spent the last half an hour picking them up - Hamish and Max thought it would be fun to see the insides of a pillow so having left them 'safely' with the doors shut to out of bounds rooms - whilst I went on the school run they got in the study where the offending pillow sat (waiting to be stored in the basement - that'll teach me to not put things away straight away) - and they have thouroughly emptied all the contents!

What tickles me is there was feathers in the hall with them but the rest remained in the study (well scattered!) with the pillow case (how on earth they got the bits in the hall I'm miffed about! :))  It's like the had the pillow fight in the hall then thought better return as much as we can so we look innocent!

My daughter says it was Hamish has he had a feather on him but I'm sure Max joined in!!  thank goodness Charlie and Angus were safely in the kitchen I think there would have been much more damage!!

Next time must check doors are shut properly!

At least they had a good time I guess and the Study floor needed a hoover!

The little monkeys, :eek:Oh gosh, how long will that take you to clear up? You'll be finding them under furniture and on top of units weeks from now. Must have looked like a masacre.

My mum's terrier x, used to attack her cushions as a pup, but they were foam not feathers and that was bad enough, until she got a dog gate, she had never had problems with the Collies or Cockers they were all so good, but her terrier x acted like a terrier :-D and loved ripping things up. Oh boy she was a nightmare!

We live and learn, bet the dogs loved it though. :-D

Well its taken me half an hour - I tried sweeping them up and did that with most of them but Henry to the rescue for the bulk and it was just ridiculous trying to do it by hand!!!

If I had shut the door properly this would not have happend - and if I had put the pillow where it should have been!

Oh for a foam massacre!

My daughter thought they had got a bird - like one bird would have THAT MANY feather!! :-D

No they can stay - well for now anyway - although don't tell Jess (my daughter) but one of her Barbie dolls found amongst the feathers in various bits - poor girl seems to have been tortured too!

I think the attack on the beanbags (2 of them ) was worse than the pillow fight.......... the polystyrene beads ROLL AWAY from the vacuum cleaner..........9 years on, I;m still finding them in the nooks and crannies of the utility room.....

LOL, I got a little too drunk one night and couldnt make it home (the taxi driver wouldnt have me  ) my poor boys were left until 6am when I finally managed to get home.  Alf was only 10 months old at the time and the only damage they did was shred a duvet  there wasnt even a wee on the floor

I would like to add that I as totally irresponsible and will not be repeating that incident

one of mine did that with a soft toy of mine he found. When i came in to see the mess, he had a face on as as if to say "it wasn't me, it was her", except he still has fluff stuck on jowel!

And as many teeny tiny pieces of paper that an unsuspecting Avon catalogue can be shredded into when I'm not looking... :D

Couldn't even see the hall carpet.

speaking of feathers, when im out i leave the bathroom window open so that Willie (when he was allowed out) could get indoors to eat etc, one day he decided to bring in a 'present' - a black bird, he didnt eat just plucked it  i had nearly finished clearing all the feathers up when Bruce came in and sneezed at the feathers they went everywhere  even now im finding feathers and that was months ago, i didnt find it funny at the time but when I phoned my mum i couldnt help but laugh :D :D

Try the stuffing from the back sofa cushion! we have a blue carpet and it looked like it had snowed 6 inches LOL i was really mad at him cause we had to sit on the floor for 3 days whilst its was being fixed  but forgave him when we saw the funny side  :D
- By ashlee [gb] Date 14.09.06 19:39 UTC
Ok,how many feathers would you think you could get from the fattest wood pidgeon stuck up your chimmney?
My lounge was covered,I had to grab this thing by its legs and pull it out,me ,covered in soot and feathers, husband telling me what a grand job I was doing, and the dogs? didn't even move off the sofa and cats asleep.
Luckily he wasn't harmed, he just flew away with his eyes still closed:confused:
I could of made a feather pillow from what he left behind.
- By rachelsetters Date 14.09.06 20:09 UTC
LOL Ashlee but think we win - I can send you the bin bag brimming with the feathers and empty Henry (the hooever)!  think we may have a few more here!

Typical OH sitting watching with encouragement! :)
