Banya's eaten some grass day before yesterday as she gets an acid tummy sometimes and very rarely will eat grass. Of course, lately the grass has been more like hard hay/straw as it's late summer.
She "pooed" last night, and we had to help her extricate some grass, (this only happens about once every 18 months, its a rare happening) but she hasn't been since and is obviously uncomfortable, and wants to go - although she settles for a bit. I reckon she's got a wodge of hard grass in her rectum and won't or can't defaecate.
I'm a bit worried although she's not acting very distressed, more uncomfortable. My dilemma is, should we take her for a good run tomorrow fist thing, in the hope she will be able to go, or just go straight to the vet? I'm not sure if I'm overreacting. I'm actually thinking vet. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what was the outcome please?

I know that if this is the problem (constipation) a vet can use an enema... They tried one on my boy after he had a sock eating frenzy  they managed to pass one from him but the other was an op as still in tummy
So try taking her for a quick walk in the morning, make sure that she has been drinking enough etc and if still concerned or no movement then a quick trip to your vet won't do any harm!
good luck and I hope that your girl is feeling better soon :-)
Thanks for the reply Emz77, in fact she did manage to have a poo late last night! Thank goodness, and she had one this morning too! Phew!! :D
