ive got a huge wool rug (one of those really deep ones) anyway its cream (well it was anyway :( )where the boys have been lying on it its absolutely filthy and I havent a clue how to get it clean :rolleyes: today ive hired one of those carpet cleaner thingys and its hasnt worked at all, there is no way it would fit in the washing machine and I just havent got a clue how to get it clean :(  Just wondering if anyone on here has any ideas ?

Ive just done my  lounge rug, and I soaked it in the bath overnight in Bold washing powder.Yes it took some drying, but it looks good as new.

what a fantastic idea !!  Im off to buy some washing powder (cant see the tablets working so well !!)
