My dog is 53 kilos and the vet gave me 2 x drontal XL and 2 flavoured for his dose. Out of curiosity i looked this up on the internet and came to the conclusion that this is the dosage for a 90 kilo dog, ie; drontal xl= 35 kilos and flavoured = 10 kilos. I only question it because i was sure it was more than it used to be.
have i got this wrong?

2 tablets looks like the dosage for a 70kg dog to me.  I would give a 53kg dog 1.5 tablets.

Ithink you can give 2 x XL tabs as this dose is for dogs up to 35 Kilos per tablet. However, I certainly would not give the extra tablets that you have been given.

Sounds to me like they meant to give you 1 x XL and 2 flavoured (35 + 10 + 10 gives you 55kg)

Ah well, it'll be cheaper next time when you'll only be buying the 2 flavoured ones! ;-)
