Some companies will only pick up from and deliver to private addresses, so if you are sending to or receiving from a business you will have to use someone like 'Lynx'.  Fedex will deliver to and from private addresses but sometimes there is a size restriction.  You need to look in your yellow pages and ring for quotes!

look in your local newspaper for 'man with a van' ads........you can get stuff moved quickly and usually much cheaper than companies charge!
good luck

Try phoning some house removal companies - if they have a run which passes by those locations and their empty when passing they might beable to help. I know of one company who do this but cant remember the name, they charge a set fee for it which is a lot less than hiring. Worth a try. Also have a look on google for man with van websites also haulage companies do regular runs and often have an empty trailer, just depends if it fits in with them. hth

Thanks all, we have decided to fetch it. (Its a drying cabinet) We were having trouble cos we did not know how heavy it was and some quotes were OTT.
