can anyone recommend anything that will keep flies off horse, have tried nafoff but that doesnt seem to work and they are driving horse mad whilst exercising, thanks

They are particularly evil this year.

I recommend a Fly repellent I got from M & S - I cna't remember what its called but it seems to work. I'll get the name for you.

Plus a Crusader Fly Mask to ride in and Effol Fly Gel - again, the only other stuff I have found that works. Put that on the horse and the M&S stuff on you and watch the time you ride :)

thanks for that, im riding either very early morning or late a night, although today i took her out at lunch time, it was very cool and cloudy, but after a while the flies came out.

i find that going faster keeps them away:cool: plus we are hound excercising at 6am at the moment so that helps as well. Yet to find anyting that repels horse-flies although the usual annoying house fly type of fly react ok to effol.
