I overheard some exhibitors recently talking about using HP to clean/remove stains in the face coat and beard.
Has anyone any idea how to do this and is it safe? If so, what quantities does one use, how is it applied and how often.
My boy has an awful saliva stained white beard and face coat. Last week I noticed his beard was a bit green - I thought it was due to him chewing on a moss covered stick in the garden but after 2 goes with whitening shampoo, I don't think it is moss - goodness knows what's caused that. I think I must have tried every whitening shampoo on the market but nothing seems to shift it.
HP sounds a bit scary to me but if it shifts the saliva and green stains, I'll give it a go.

I've never used it myself but my mother used to gargle with straight HP to whiten her teeth. This was 40 years ago before whitening toothpaste.
Try bicarbonate of soda, this is non-toxic and great for removing stains. It is also very good for getting rid of urine/poop smells on the carpet, just sprinkle the powder on the wee let it dry and then vacumn up. You can clean teeth with it as well![ human as well as dog]

Has he got a green chew-toy - kong type or similar? I've noticed lately that my girl gets a red chin after I dish out the kongs, now that they're getting a bit tatty :D
Put a little water with it to make a stiff paste and rub it into the beard etc leave till dry or overnight and wash out the next day. May take several applications to get all the green out.
