Can anyone recommend a particular make of long line (and where/if I can buy it online)? I've seen the nylon Ancol ones and the cotton canvas Mikki ones but they both have loops at the end - are these ok, as I thought loops weren't recommended because of possibly injury...? Although, saying that, I'm not sure you could be expected to keep hold of it with no loop!

Thanks! :D

Ideally, you shouldn't need to hold the end of it.  Just drop it and let it trail.  Only pick it up just before you recall.  (Or grab it if dog bolts, but make sure you use it connected to a harness if you're going to do that, to prevent neck injuries when dog hits end of lead!)

Hi,
if your looking for a 'long line' I use a 'Lunge rein' (for horses)its just a great big long line...( no loop at the end)
easy to get hold of from saddlers.
HTH :)

I've used a washing line knotted at various points cheap but effective.

I bought one at the local equestrian centre - 15 metres long with markers every metre - made by Cottage Craft - and cost £5.99!

Worth every penny (and a few more!)
